Do not touch the metal parts of the unit when removing the filter.
There is a risk of injury due to the sharp metal edges.
Do not use water to clean the internal parts of the air conditioner.
Exposure to water can ruin the isolation, with the risk of electric shocks.
When cleaning the unit, make sure the switch is off and the power supply is discon-
nected.

4.2.1 - RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ENERGY SAVINGS

Below find simple recommendations for reducing consumption:
• Always and constantly keep the filters clean (see maintenance and cleaning chapter).
• Keep the doors and windows of the rooms to be climate controlled closed.
• Avoid the sun's rays penetrating freely into the room (we recommend using curtains or lowering blinds or
closing the shutters).
• Do not obstruct the unit air flow (inlet and outlet), i.e. in addition to bad performance of the system, it also
affects correct operation and the possibility of irreparable faults to the units.

4.3 - FUNCTIONAL ASPECTS NOT TO BE MISTAKEN FOR ANOMALIES

The following events may occur during normal operation:
1. SLIGHT AIR CONDITIONER NOISE
- A low hissing noise may be heard when the compressor is running, or has just been switched off.
It is the noise of the refrigerant running or stopping.
- A low "squeaking" noise may also be heard when the compressor is running, or has just been
switched off. This is caused by expansion due to the heat or contraction due to cold of the plastic
parts of the unit, when the temperature changes.
- A noise may be heard due to the louvre restoring itself to its original position on commissioning.
2 DUST IS BLOWN OUT FROM THE INDOOR UNIT
- This is normal when the air conditioner is re-started after a long period of inactivity, or is used for
the first time.
3. A STRANGE ODOUR IS DETECTED COMING FROM THE INDOOR UNIT
- It is caused by the indoor unit, which releases the odours absorbed by the construction materials,
the furnishings or from smoking.
4. LIGHTENING OR ELECTRIC EQUIPMENT
- Lightening or wireless phones working in the vicinity could cause the air conditioner to malfunction.

4.4 - TROUBLESHOOTING

1. The unit may stop running or keep running safely if:
-
the LEDs keep flashing
-
on the display appears one of the following codes:
E(x), P(x), F(x), EH(xx), EL(xx), EC(xx), PH(xx), PL(xx), PC(xx)
Wait approximately 10 minutes; the problem may solve by itself.
If not, disconnect power supply and reconnect it. Switch on the unit.
If the problem persists, disconnect the unit from the power supply and contact the closest service centre.
2. Stop the air conditioner immediately is one of the following anomalies occurs.
Disconnect the electric power supply and contact the nearest after-sales assistance service.
Problem:
- The fuses blow frequently or the automatic switch intervenes often.
- Water or other objects have entered the air conditioner.
- The remote control does not function or functions anomalously.
