IP over PPP Interoperates with Passport 6000 and 7000 Series Incorrectly [New]

IP over PPP on the Versalar 15000 does not interoperate correctly with a Passport
6000 or 7000 series router.
Configure the MAC address for the PPP interface on the Versalar 15000 and add an IP
adjacent host entry. In the following example, 194.1.1.2 is the IP address of the
Versalar 15000 and 194.1.1.1 is the IP address of the Passport PPP interface on the
adjacent host.
Configuring the MAC address:

Configuring a static route can cause a fault if:
1. You enable or disable the route or boot a configuration file that configures the
route.
2. The route specifies a circuitless IP address or a network address, instead of a host
address.
Change the static route to point to a correct host address.
