Changing Blade

All saw blades are danger-
ous and may cause per-
sonal injury. To reduce
the risk of being injured,
wear leather gloves when
handling and uncoiling saw
blades.

Replacement Blade ........................................... 1
Blades should be changed when they become
dull, damaged, or when cutting materials that
require a blade of a certain type or tooth count.
To change blade:
1.
DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER!
2.
Raise headstock all the way, then use feed
control dial to keep it from lowering.
3.
Remove (2) blade covers by loosening (8)
knobs shown in Figure 30.

4.
Move upper blade guide as far right as pos-
sible (see Adjusting Upper Blade Guide on
Page 36), then clean out all chips and shav-
ings with a brush and shop vacuum.
5.
Loosen (2) knobs shown in Figure 31 to
remove front blade guard.
