Fault Code Register

Crankcase Pressure
Possible cause:
The crankcase pressure is too high and the engine power is reduced.
Corrective action: Check that the crankcase ventilation is not blocked.
Emergency Stop Switch
Possible cause:
The auxiliary stop has been activated.
Corrective action: Reset the auxiliary stop. Refer to Auxiliary stop.
EMS Supply Fuse
Possible cause:
Corrective action:
Engine Oil Filter
Possible cause:
There is an oil pressure difference and engine power is reduced.
Corrective action: Contact your Volvo Penta workshop.
Engine Oil Level
Possible cause:
The oil level is too low.
NOTICE!
If the vessel is tilted sideways the measurement might be inaccurate. If this happens
acknowledge the faults and make new measurements when the boat is level.
Corrective action:
Engine Oil Pressure
Possible cause:
Oil pressure is too low and the engine power is reduced.
Corrective action:
Engine Oil Temperature
Possible cause:
The engine oil temperature is too high and the engine power is reduced.
Corrective action:

If the fault code appears after startup, it is most likely that the Auxiliary Stop is activated
and this causes the circuit to be broken.
Short circuit in the Auxiliary Stop.
Short circuit in the Shutdown relay.
Internal fault in the EMS unit.
Check that the Auxiliary Stop is not enabled.
Check the cable connections for the Auxiliary Stop.
Check the cable connections in the Shutdown relay.
Check the engine oil level. Refer to Oil Level, page 62.
Check that there is no leakage.
