Thank you for buying a piece of furniture Treated properly it should be a faithful servant for years - and we hope you get the same amount of pleasure from it. - Page 4 Fit the cross rail x dowels and 2 cam inserts Insert one dowel into the lower outer hole at each end of the cross rail. Now fit one cam into the hole on the side of the cross rail making sure that the arrow is pointing towards the end of the rail.
- Page 5 Make the frame (ideally with two people) Carefully align and connect the cross rail to the desk frames (can be done one at a time). Once fully connected, rotate the cam clockwise to tighten. step 1 (directional arrow pointing towards pin) step 2 (Rotate to tighten) Fit the top and bottom panels.
- Page 6 Fit the rear piece 10 x wooden dowels insert 5 wooden dowels along each long edge of the piece. Fit the desk top pieces 18 x wooden dowels IMPORTANT Orientate parts as shown below noting that the two outside pieces have two through holes in them ( see arrows marked X) and each piece has a unique drilling pattern, please look at the staggered positions for the dowel holes for clarity.
- Page 7 Fit the rear piece Gently align the rear piece with the projecting dowels matching the holes at the rear of the bottom panel. Now push the piece firmly down making a firm joint. Bottom panel Fitting the three desk pieces. IMPORTANT Align the three pieces, left, divider and right as shown in the image.
- Page 8 Fit the cams 9 x cams insert the cams into the holes that have located over the cams pins on the bottom panel. Ensure that the arrow is pointing downwards to ensure the fit. Once all 9 cams are located, rotate clockwise to tighten. Bottom panel step 2 (Rotate to tighten) step 1 (directional arrow pointing towards pin)
- Page 9 Fit the desk box to frame 4 x pan head bolts Lay both the desk frame and desk box on their back ( see image below). This can be a bit fiddly and the help of another person hold the desk frame in place will make it easier. Now carefully align the assemblies so that the through holes match.
- Page 10 If you wish to “hide” the strap you can fix to the desk from the underside. Little Folks Furniture do not supply wall fixings due to the wide ranging differences of wall construction. This work should only be carried out by a competent person or a professional.
- Page 11 Final check Please ensure that the wall strap is connected to both the desk and a suitable wall structure. Check that all the fittings used to assemble the desk are fitted correctly and securely tightened. Check that the desk is positioned on a level floor and is secure and stable.
