Reference Core Components Layouts

These examples are intended for reference and do not cover every detail for a specific
complete chassis design. The chassis or system designer is ultimately responsible for
defining the locations of other components such and ODD, HDD, etc. as well as
venting. Such details are normally driven by the Industrial Design and are at the
discretion of the designer.
The following examples are based on a 65W CPU system and the reference thermal
solution design described in Chapter 6. No layout guidance is provided for Intel Atom
processor based systems because they are fundamentally easier to cool and often
require only a single system blower.
