    Thank you for purchasing your Martec Ariel Series product. Please read all instructions carefully before assembly and use. IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS Read these instructions carefully before installing or using the product. Keep the instructions handy for future reference. SAFETY Installation of fans must follow SAA standards and meet local Authority regulations. A fully qualified and licensed electrician lawfully must carry out installation.

    (4) long wood screws as supplied within the packaging. (See Fig 1) NOTE: Martec Pty Ltd assumes that the installation of this ceiling fan is carried out as per the instruction manual i.e. mounted to a solid timber structure. It is the purchasers responsbility to ensure that the installatin electrician has carried out the installation of this ceiling fan as per the instruction manual.
  • Page 6 2. Place fan into hanging bracket and connect all cables to the terminal block. (See Fig 2) At this point c heck every screw, nut, and bolt to ensure that they are as tight as they can be, as they can work loose during shipping. This will avoid the risk of any unnecessary wobbling.

    INSTALLING BLADES Insert blades one at a time through slots in the motor housing. Secure each blade with three screws and washers as provided, through the opening in the light disc. (See Fig 4) Once you have finished installing all four (4) blades, either screw on the bottom plate (if you have the MAF114 model, See Fig 5) or install lamp and glass shade (if you have the MAF1142 model, See Fig 6).
  • Page 8 REMOVING AND REPLACING THE LIGHT BULB / SHADE Carefully twist the light shade anti-clockwise to remove. Once the lamp is fitted, place glass shade into light base and twist clockwise. (See Fig 6) Warning: Do not overtighten light shade as expansion and contraction of metal housing may cause lamp shade to get stuck.
  • Page 9 USE IN ALL SEASONS Always ensure that the fan is set to “OFF” and the blades have stopped rotating prior to changed the direction the blades rotate. The reverse switch on the fan sohuld be set to “SUMMER” (Forward motion) during warmer seasons to move the blades in an anti-clockwise direction, and “WINTER”...
