Troubleshooting
Attach the KaVo instrument to the motor until it locks in place.
Pull on it to make sure that the instrument is securely attached to the motor.

5 5 .4 Removing the attachment instrument from the drive motor

Pull the instrument off the motor in axial direction through a slight rotating motion.

5.5 Regulating the speed and changing the direction of rotation

Rotate the regulating sleeve to regulate between idle ② in clockwise rotation ① or counter‐
clockwise rotation ③ and maximal speed in a continuous manner.
6 6 Troubleshooting

6.1 Check for malfunctions at initial startup

CAUTION
Missing or damaged O-rings.
Malfunctions and premature failure.
Make sure that all O-rings are on the coupling and undamaged.
Note
Stop working if the O-ring is missing or damaged.
The motor runs too hot under load:
Also check the handpiece.
When the speed drops or is uneven:
Check the hose connection.
