MUFFLER
MUFFLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
MUFFLER
The muffler becomes very hot during operation and
remains hot for a while after stopping the engine.
Be careful not to touch the muffler while it is hot.
Allow it to cool before proceeding.
Remove the top cover (page 5-2).

CHECK:
Check the muffler seal flange [1] and cylinder exhaust port [2]
for dent or damage. Do not tap on the seal flange to prevent
damaging it when removing carbon deposits.
