CRANKSHAFT/PISTON/VALVES
CYLINDER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
Drain the engine oil (page 3-3).
Remove the following:
– Crankcase cover (page 10-2)
– Carburetor (page 5-6)
– Muffler (page 11-2)
Using too much force can deform the cylinder head cover. The cylinder head cover must be replaced if it is
deformed.
After installation, check and adjust the valve clearance if necessary (page 3-5).

INSTALLATION:
Install each rocker arm shaft
in the direction as shown.

REMOVAL:
Insert a screw driver or equivalent tool into the
recesses [1] as shown, and remove the cylinder.

Take care not to break the piston rings when installing
the cylinder.
