Storage Laying Up (Winterization) Be sure that your Volvo Penta equipment is properly prepared for long or short term storage. Engine or drive damage can result if some simple maintenance steps are overlooked prior to storage. Winterizing gives you the assurance that your engine will be protected during storage and will run more reliably when you put your boat back in the water.
  • Page 155 Storage Long Term Storage For long term storage (more than two months), we recommend that you have your Volvo Penta dealer “winterize” your engine and drive. Your dealer will provide the proper servicing and maintenance to ensure that your equip- ment is treated and stored properly.
