INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
3. PENTAIR UV systems have four mounting keyholes at the rear of the bracket.
Mark the desired position on the wall where the fixings are required to go
allowing for a system weight of either 32 Kg ( 55LPM) or 45 Kg ( 75 LPM)
4. Drill the holes & install the appropriate sized fixing (fixing anchors not included).
5. Position on the wall and tighten the fixings to hold the system securely to the
wall. NOTE: The outlet is always on the UV side of the system
6. Plumb the inlet and outlet pipe work to the system (25 mm inlet and outlet)
using unions (not supplied) at the inlet and outlet for easy disconnection
and maintenance. NOTE: Only use thread sealing tape on all threaded
connections on this system, do not use liquid sealants.
NOTE: Installation and commissioning of cold water services from a point
of connection to UV Unit & from UV unit to the points of discharge shall be
according to AS/NZS3500.1
The first 1 metre of the plumbing outlet of this system must be installed in
copper or polyethylene tubing due to the rating of the UV lamp. Do not use
PVC piping on the outlet of the system for the first one metre.
7. Ensure filtration cartridges are installed in both housings of this system using
the filter wrench supplied with this system. Do not over tighten the housings.
8. Open the cover.
9. Installation of the quartz sleeve and UV lamp

CAUTION:
RESIDUAL CURRENT DEVICE (RCD) HAVING A RATED RESIDUAL
OPERATING CURRENT NOT EXCEEDING 30 MA.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Please note the following four points before proceeding:
• Read the maintenance instructions before opening the appliance. The appliance
must be disconnected from the supply before replacing the UV-C emitter.
• Ensure the power and water are turned off to the unit and the water pressure has
been released from the UV chamber.
• This procedure should only be carried out with the UV unit sitting upright in a
vertical position, preferably already hanging on the wall.
• The use of disposable surgical gloves is required during the installation of the
UV tube and quartz sleeve.
• Do not touch the quartz sleeve or UV lamp with bare hands.
9.1
Open the cover of the UV assembly using the key provided.
9.2
Remove the electric lamp holder from the top right of the UV chamber and place
it to one side.
9.3
Carefully insert the quartz sleeve into the UV chamber with the rounded closed-
off end placed first and the open end of the sleeve being at the top.
9.4
Centre the sleeve in the chamber as it reaches the bottom
9.5
When the quartz sleeve is inserted inside the chamber, it will come to a stop
against a fixed spring seat, and you should be able to feel the quartz
sleeve sitting against the spring with a gentle push.
9.6
Take hold of the UV lamp from the electrical connection end without
touching the globe, place it inside the quartz sleeve already installed
in the UV chamber.
9.7
The top O ring of the UV globe should be holding the globe centrally
inside the sleeve a few milimiteres from the top of the tube.
9.8
Connect the electrical lamp holder to the top of the UV lamp.
9.9
Screw the lamp holder down into place, and this will hold the quartz
sleeve and UV lamp securely in position.
NOTE: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children)
with reduced physical sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
DO NOT OPERATE THE UV-C EMITTER WHEN IT IS REMOVED
FROM THE APPLIANCE ENCLOSURE.
This appliance contains a UV-C emitter. Unintended use of the appliance or
damage to the housing may result in the escape of dangerous UV-C radiation.
UV-C radiation may, even in little doses, cause harm to the eyes and skin.
Appliances that are obviously damaged must not be operated
