4.9 Power Off Checks
____ Reseat any loose boards.
____ Verify all electrical connections in electronics box.
____ Perform resistance (impedance) checks.
____ Verify all ink, solvent, and air line connections are tight.
____ Remove remaining shipping materials from printer, such as foam blocks, zip ties, tape and plastic.
____ Install monitor shelf, monitor, mouse and keyboard.
4.10 Connecting Electrical Supplies
____ Verify AC Disconnect switch is in Off position and perform the Lockout/Tagout procedure.
____ Instruct certified electrician to connect main power line to Main AC Disconnect Switch.
____ Configure transformer based on input voltage requirements (e.g. US vs. EU voltages).
4.11 Mechanical Alignments.
____ Complete all mechanical alignments.
____ Lock down all table height adjustment brackets.
4.12 Power On Checks
____ Press green Power On button and wait for printer to startup.
____ Inspect air, coolant, and ink lines for leaks during and after power-up.
____ Verify carriage vacuum and regulator settings.
____ Physically check carriage gap and lamp heights to ensure jet plate and lamps will not strike anything when carriage moves.
____ Verify media table is clear of tools, media, and debris and perform a carriage shuttle test to verify carriage moves smoothly
across entire X axis.
____ Advance and reverse media belt to verify belt moves smoothly across Y axis.
4.13 Printer Critical Alignments
____ Complete the remaining physical Printer Alignments.
____ Replace all shields, covers, and doors.
4.14 Install Ink
____ Install ink containers into ink compartment.
____ Check integrity of ink system and wipe all surfaces clean.
