Configuring the Printer

PF8d and PF8t Desktop Printer User's Guide
b Enter the Host Address (ip address). To find your host address,
you can send an ESim command using a serial connection. For

in the terminal window to enable an Ethernet connection.
7 Test your connection by typing
UQ
in all caps in the terminal window. The UQ command returns the
printer network settings, which will appear in the terminal
window.
To send ESim commands
Type any ESim commands in the terminal window, and then press
Enter. For a list of ESim commands, see
PD41, and PD42 Printer Programmer's Reference Manual.
You can configure the printer using the printer's home page, PrintSet,
or ESimcommands. The printer's home page allows you to configure
most of the network settings you need and is the recommended
method for configuring your printer. You can also configure certain
parameters using the EasyLan Control Center tool (ECCT).
Note: EaslyLan Control Center Tool (ECCT) is a temporary tool
available on the Printer Companion CD. If PrintSet is not yet available
use ECCT as a temporary substitute for setting the TCP/IP and IP
address. For the latest version of PrintSet, see www.intermec.com.
