New functions of the SIMATIC Drive Controller in firmware version V3.0
The following table provides an overview of the important new functions of the SIMATIC
Drive Controller with CPU firmware V3.0 and SINAMICS Integrated firmware V5.2 SP3.

Applications
A simple configuration option is now available
for using SNMP services. For new configura­
tions, this is disabled by default in line with
"Security-by-Default".
The own namespace of the OPC UA server can
be accessed by using the OPC UA instruction for
reading ("OPC_UA_ReadList").
This allows you to read out the following status
and react to it in the user program:
• Status of the own OPC UA server
• Status of the connections of OPC UA clients
• Status of the session
• Status of subscriptions
By using the OPC UA instruction for writing
("OPC_UA_WriteList"), it is possible to change
the "SourceTimestamp" as well as the status
code of an OPC UA variable (node).
The following configuration limits have been
increased:
• Possible number of nodes in the server
interface
• Maximum possible number of subscriptions
per session
• For subscription, the recommendation for
monitored values was increased
Many new API methods expand your access
options to the CPU via the Web API.
The Web server certificate for HTTPS commu­
nication can now also be managed via the OPC
UA GDS mechanism, without separate down­
load of the hardware configuration.
