2.6.4 Transport vacuum mechanism
The separated paper is held against the transport belts
by the suction of the vacuums fan. The transport belts
move the paper to the fusing unit. The vacuum fan is
always ON when the main switch is ON. The timer runs
for 30 minutes after the main switch is turned OFF.
2.6.5 Transport unit release mechanism
The return force of the transport release spring is used
to set and release the transport unit, and the direction of
force applied to the unit varies according to the position
of the transport release link and release lever.
When portion (A) of the transport release lever and the
link shaft are on the X line, no force is applied. If a
portion (A) shifts up or down, the return force of the
spring works.
2.6.6 Transfer/separation and transport unit positioning
The position of the T/S corona unit is determined by the
OPC tracking unit. The front and rear end blocks are
held in contact with the OPC tracking unit by the leaf
spring on the transport unit.
The transport unit set position is determined by the
stopper on the vertical transport unit.
