2.13.7 Eject junction mechanism
After transport checking by the duplex entrance junction
sensor, the paper is sent to the eject junction gate, and
then is sent to the copy tray or sorter.
A spring on the eject junction solenoid rotates the axis of
the eject junction gate.
The eject junction solenoid is turned ON when paper is
fed to the copy tray. The solenoid is turned ON just
before the leading edge of the paper reaches the eject
junction gate, just as with the duplex entrance junction
gate. The solenoid remains ON until the main motor
goes OFF.
2.13.8 Drive mechanism
The exit unit is driven by the main motor. This driving
force is transmitted to the unit through the gears of the
main body.
In the unit, the transport rollers, excluding the duplex
feed roller, are driven by the gears and the two timing
belts.
A horizontal transport drive gear is provided on the gear
unit of the exit unit. The driving force is transmitted from
the gear to the horizontal transport unit.
The paper feed roller and transport belt are driven
independently by the duplex paper feed motor.
