2.14.2 Original setting

Original stopper
On this machine's original paper feed system, the
leading edge of the original is separated by the air knife
and the paper is fed by the belts with air suction.
The original guides move the original to the center, and
the original stopper brings the leading edge of the
original to the correct position.
A handle is provided on the original stopper. If the
handle is pushed in, a click is released from the notch of
the side plate and the pinion gear turns along the rack.
When the original stopper is set according to the size
decal of the side plate, the leading edge of the original is
positioned on the recycle arm sensor and the original set
sensor detects the original.
The original stopper stop position for 11" x 8
8 " originals is not used usually because it is very close

to that for A4 originals. When 11" x 8
originals are used, the notch of the side plate must be
made as shown.
Original side guides
When one of the original guides is moved, the other is
also moved by the rack and pinion, and the original is
drawn to the center. From the side guide positions, the
original size sensor detects original size.
