2.1 Properties
Server module
The server module is included in the scope of delivery of the BaseUnit in a bundle and is
available separately as an accessory.
The server module has the following properties:
• Terminates the backplane bus of the ET 200SP distributed I/O system.
• Features a support for 3 spare fuses (5 × 20 mm).
• Provides station functions, e.g. "Group diagnostics: No supply voltage L+", status bytes.
• Identification data I&M 0 to 3
• Representation of the statuses of supply voltage L+ and the feedback voltage per slot.
Note
You need to configure and assign parameters to the server module in the configuration
software.
To do this, place the server module on the last slot of the configuration and set the parameter
"Group diagnostics: No supply voltage L+". For example, when there are 64 I/O modules, the
server module is inserted on slot 66.
Note
Immediately after a redundancy switchover, the status of the regenerative voltage can be
displayed as not present (= 0) for a maximum of 30 ms if:
• You are using the server module with the "Status of the feedback voltage" enabled, and
• There is no supply voltage L+ to least one digital output module and
• Feedback voltage is present

To route the 24 V DC supply voltage via a fuse, a light BaseUnit must be plugged into the slot
of the first 24 V DC I/O module.
When an AC I/O module or AI Energy Meter ST is plugged, the first BaseUnit in an
ET 200SP station may be a dark one. Note the information on limiting the overvoltage and
power rating in the AC I/O module manuals.
Pay attention to the type of the BaseUnits during configuration.
