it to any position. If the pressure cooker
is confirmed not to work properly after
checking the valve, do not use it under any
circumstances, but take it to an authorised
service centre.
Working valve (3) (Level model). Check
after each use to make sure there are no
residues of any type in the working valve
(3). It is advisable to clean the inside of
the valve from time to time, especially if
the food cooked produces foam or is fatty.
To do this, release the main nut (Fig. 16)
and remove the entire mechanism. After
cleaning, assemble it in the same way,
fitting all its components (Fig. 17). When
the pressure cooker is used frequently, we
recommend removing the working valve
(3) and cleaning it at least once a month. If
you prefer not to disassemble the valve, you
can clean it by placing the closed pressure
cooker on the heat source at maximum with
four parts water and one part vinegar inside.
When steam starts to escape through the
valve, keep it on for 5 minutes, which will
self-clean the working valve (3).

NOTE: overheating of the item can
sometimes cause iridescence that will
in no case be a hindrance to continuing
cooking or a risk to health. The
hardness of the water used for cooking
the food can have a great impact on the
appearance of white spots or lime scale
sticking to the bottom of the pot. To
remove stubborn stains, food residues
or discolouration from inside, simply
boil one part of vinegar dissolved in
four parts of water for 4 to 5 minutes
without fitting the lid (1). Then wash in
a conventional manner. If food sticks
or burns, do not use scrapers, sharp
utensils or metal sponges that could
scratch the base.
