8. Record the Carabiner inspection results in the Inspection Records, found in the appendix
of this manual.
9. If inspection reveals a defective condition, remove the unit from service. If the carabiner
has been subjected to fall arrest forces, remove it from service.
8. MARKINGS
Each FallTech carabiner is stamped with markings. Markings includes the year of manufacture,
the manufacturer's identification, traceability information, carabiner load rating, and load rating
for the gate. Carabiner markings indicate ANSI compliance. See Figure 9.
If markings become illegible, remove the carabiner from service.
