    Introduction Congratulations on your new Thermo Scientific Precision Water Bath. Precision Water Baths offer the versatility needed to han- dle virtually any clinical laboratory procedure — incuba- tion, inactivation, agglutination — as well as most serolog- ical, pharmaceutical, biomedical, and industrial proce- dures.
  • Page 4 NTRODUCTION The calibration of the water bath can be adjusted to opti- mize its accuracy for the temperature that is used most often in your application. This can be accomplished through a simple procedure accessed from the front panel. As a convenience, a drain pump is supplied with 10, 20, 28, and dual 5/10 liter models.

    NPACKING AND NSTALLATION Install the cover by inserting the hinge into the lip at the rear of the bath. Angle the cover up while push- ing down to lock the hinge in place under the stain- less steel tank lip. Remove the cover by lifting the lid and pushing the hinge towards the back to release it from under the tank lip.

    NPACKING AND NSTALLATION Filling the Unit Follow these steps to fill the unit in preparation for use: Fill the water bath with tap water or oil so that the liquid level is approximately 1 1/2 inches (3/4 inch with 2 liter shallow model) from the top of the tank when full anticipated load is placed in bath.

Heat: Lights to show when heat is being sup- plied to the chamber; cycles on and off as heat is requested by the controller. Menu: Allows you to select the mode of opera- tion.

    Operation Follow these procedures for the operation of the unit, including: •Power up and initial indications. •Setting the temperature units in ºF or ºC. •Setting the temperature setpoint. •Setting the backup temperature. •Calibrating the unit. •Emptying and cleaning the unit. Power Up Follow these steps to turn on the unit to prepare it for use: Set the power switch to the ON position.

If the desired indicator is lit, omit this procedure. To change the temperature units, follow this procedure: Press Menu button so display shows _C_F.
