DA 60-820 3.2 Installation examples Inspect the building in relation to the drawing, paying attention to the position of DA 60-820, roof pitch and roof type. 3.2.1 Placement If the fresh air is coming from the open, the inlet must be placed above the ridge to minimize the external im- pact of the air inlet.
Check that all DA 60-820 units can be placed freely in relation to other equipment that might be fitted after- wards, such as feed hoist, water etc., all still in accordance with the agreement with the builder.

DA 60-820 3.7 Mounting the duct Assemble the duct by applying slight pressure in order to engage the labyrinth joint. When several subsequent ducts are mounted, the longi- tudinal joint must be offset one quarter of a turn so that the ducts retain their round shape.

DA 60-820 3.11 Mounting in the attic 3.11.1 Mounting the anchorage Insulation Wooden Joist frame Mount a wooden frame in the ceiling around the hole in which the anchorage can be attached. 850 mm Mark up and drill 2 holes for each of the 4 anchorages with a 6.2 mm drill.

Place the roofing sheet and check if there is sufficient passage for the duct at measurement D.

DA 60-820 Use a crowbar to loosen the steel plate of the sandwich roofing sheet, so the flat roofing sheet can be slid 70 mm underneath the steel plate of the sandwich roofing sheet. The flat roofing sheet now fits the size measured out.

DA 60-820 Slide the flat roofing sheet in between the laths and cor- rugated steel plate. Now push the roof duct so it reaches the corrugated steel plate. Make joints on the sides. Secure the roofing sheet at the sides.

DA 60-820 Mount 8 brackets on the roof duct from the outside using 16 5x16 screws. Place the 2 rain screens next to the pre-drilled holes. Mount the rain screen onto the bracket using 8 6x23 screws. Roll the net until the internal dimension of the net is ø874 mm.
DA 60-820 Pre-drill 8 holes at the marked positions. Drill size 5mm. Mount the bracket on the roof cap using 8 5x16 screws. 3.15 Mounting the duct unit on the roofing sheet The duct unit can now be put in place in the roofing sheet.
DA 60-820 Mount the duct unit so that the pins (A) on the lower duct are lengthwise and transversely in the house and not 45° to the side, as the bell mouth and swivel shutter can oth- erwise not be mounted correctly.

DA 60-820 Mount the guide rods in the 4 intermediate plate holes using washers and nuts. Lift the intermediate plate and put the 4 guide rods into the 4 bushings. Mount 4 spring pins in the 4 guide rod holes.
DA 60-820 3.21 Mounting the recirculation fan Mount the recirculation fan on the plate with 4 M6x90 screws, washers and nuts. The connection box is fixed to the plate with 2 5x20 screws. For electrical connection see section Installation guide [} 44].

DA 60-820 3.23 Mounting the pull rod/suspension The number of meters of pull rod is mea- sured. The pull rods are assembled with splicing sleeve and by the end closest to the winch motor an eye joiner is fitted, this is where the DA 60 mounting set for winch motor is mounted.
DA 60-820 3.24 Mounting the motor controller Incorrect mechanical mounting can result in overheating and reduced performance. 3.24.1 Position of motor controller/frequency converter Motor controller/frequency converter must not be built-in or covered and must be mounted on a solid, level sur- face.
DA 60-820 3.24.3 Position of motor controller The motor controller is positioned so that the ambient temperature is between ÷ 40°C and + 50°C. Mount the motor controller as close to the fan as possi- ble. The 2 m cable included must not be extended.
DA 60-820 4 Installation guide 4.1 Electrical connection Installation, servicing and troubleshooting of all electrical equipment must be carried out by quali- fied personnel in compliance with the applicable national and international standard EN 60204-1 and any other EU standards that are applicable in Europe.

DA 60-920 unit does not require special maintenance. Check on a regular basis wires and pulleys for wear and tear. Remember to disconnect the DA 60-820 at the power supply isolator before main- tenance and cleaning. Check at least once a year that blades and suspension units are still intact. Call service in case of abnormal noise and vibration.
