The NAS has four memory slots. You can increase the memory capacity of the NAS by upgrading the memory modules. Use only QNAP memory modules to maintain system performance and stability. For NAS devices with more than one memory slot, use QNAP modules with identical specifications.

Connecting USB Expansion Units To connect the TS-h3087XU-RP to USB expansion units, a USB Type-A to USB Type-C cable is required. For required accessories details, see Expansion Unit Installation.
You can also install the QNAP QTS operating system. If your NAS is connected to the internet, the option to install QTS will appear in the Smart Installation Guide wizard using any of the methods in the table. You can also manually download the QTS firmware from https://download.qnap.com.
