It also provides instructions on basic operations and troubleshooting information. Audience This document is intended for storage administrators. This guide assumes that the user is knowledgeable and qualified to install, maintain, and troubleshoot issues involving servers, server components, and storage systems.

    This chapter provides basic information about the QNAP device. About the TS-h1886XU-RP The TS-h1886XU-RP is an enterprise rackmount NAS that runs on QNAP's latest ZFS-based QuTS hero operating system to provide economic and reliable server-grade performance. Powered by Intel® Xeon® D processors, the NAS is equipped with four-channel 32 GB DDR4 Error Correcting Code (ECC) memory modules that are scalable to 128 GB to provide high data reliability for critical applications.

    Check the value for Total memory. Replacing Expansion Cards The device supports selected expansion cards, some of which require QNAP PCIe brackets. QNAP-branded expansion cards purchased from the company website are shipped with the brackets necessary to fit the device.

NAS Migration You can migrate data and settings from your current NAS to another NAS model with minimal disruptions by installing all the hard drives from the source NAS to the destination NAS.
