Customized installation
In the ctrlX WORKS installation setup, determine the functions and tools to be
installed
To execute the First Steps with a real control, at least one of the following
options is required:
● ctrlX WORKS
● ctrlX PLC Engineering
● ctrlX I/O Engineering

Function
ctrlX WORKS is the basic installation and cannot
be deselected
ctrlX WORKS option to emulate the ctrlX CORE
control hardware.
Note:
The ctrlX CORE Virtual emulation is not allowed
for real-machine operations!
Engineering tool for the PLC programming of the
ctrlX CORE control hardware.
Engineering tool to configure the ctrlX CORE con-
trol hardware.
Engineering tool to commission, diagnose and
service the ctrlX DRIVE hardware
