Read all instructions before using and only use this appliance as directed.   • Page 5 General Use The removable inner cooking pot is extremely hot during use, and can be extremely heavy when full of ingredients. DO use oven mitts when handling the inner cooking pot and removing accessories. DO place hot accessories on a heat-resistant surface or cooking plate. DO use care when lifting the cooking pot from the cooker base to avoid burn injury.

  • Page 7 DO use only the authorised stainless-steel inner cooking pot for the Pro Plus to reduce the risk of pressure leakage. DO only replace the sealing ring with an authorised Instant Brands sealing ring to prevent personal injury and damage to the appliance.

    05 You may be tempted to put the Pro Plus on your stovetop — but don’t do it! Place the multicooker base on a stable, level surface, away from combustible material and external heat sources.

    Releasing pressure You must release pressure after pressure cooking before attempting to open the lid. Follow your recipe’s instructions to choose a venting method. WARNING DO NOT cover or obstruct the steam Steam ejected from the steam release valve is hot. Do not attempt to operate the Instant Pot without the float valve properly installed.     • To avoid personal injury or damage to the appliance, replace the cooking pot if it is dented, deformed, or damaged. • Use only authorised Instant Pot cooking pots made for this model when cooking. Always make sure the heating element is clean and dry before inserting the cooking pot into the multicooker base.
