The Instant Pot DUO PLUS Series may not recognize that the lid is locked due to the following reasons:
1. No sealing ring in the lid – Install a sealing ring. 2. Damaged or improperly installed sealing ring – Replace or reinstall the sealing ring. 3. Food debris on the sealing ring – Remove and clean the sealing ring. 4. Lid not closed properly – Open and securely close the lid. 5. Warped or off-center sealing ring rack – Check for bends or warps and contact Customer Care if necessary. 6. Misshapen inner pot rim – Inspect for deformation and contact Customer Care. 7. Food debris on the float valve or float valve silicone cap – Remove and clean the float valve.
Checking and resolving these issues should help the Instant Pot recognize that the lid is properly locked.
