Serverboard Features

At the heart of the SuperServer 1027R-WTRFTP lies the X9DRW-iTPF, a dual pro-
cessor serverboard based on the Intel® C606 chipset. Below are the main features
of the serverboard. (See Figure 1-1 for a block diagram of the chipset).

Processors

The X9DRW-iTPF supports single or dual Intel® E5-2600 Series (Socket R) pro-
cessors in LGA 2011 sockets. Please refer to our web site for a complete listing of
supported processors (www.supermicro.com).

Memory

The X9DRW-iTPF features 16 DIMM slots that can support up to 1 TB of ECC
LRDIMM, 512 GB of ECC RDIMM, or 128 GB of ECC/non-ECC UDIMM DDR3-
11866/600/1333/1066/800 memory. Please refer to Chapter 5 for installing memory.

Serial ATA

An on-chip SATA controller is integrated into the X9DRW-iTPF to provide a 10-port
SATA subsystem (two SATA 3.0 ports and eight SATA 2.0 ports), which is RAID
0, 1, 5 and 10 supported (RAID 5 is supported with Windows OS only). The SATA
drives are hot-swappable units.
Note: You must have RAID set up to enable the hot-swap capability of the SATA
drives. Documentation on RAID setup guidelines can be found on our web site.

Rear I/O Ports

The I/O ports at the rear of the serverboard nclude one COM port, a VGA (monitor)
port, two USB 2.0 ports, PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports, one dedicated IPMI LAN
port, two 1 Gb LAN (Ethernet) ports and two 10 Gb SFP+ LAN ports.
