HALO fit system  : You can easily adjust the height when
the helmet is on your head. If your helmet does not fit
your head comfortably when in the middle position,
then push the rear of the fit system up or pull it down
to adjust the height of the rear of the fit system. There
are three positions in total. Please make sure that each
arm of the fit system is securely clicked into the helmet.
F. ADDITIONAL ADJUSTMENTS OF THE STRAPS AT YOUR EARS
The strap guide should be positioned so that it fits just under your earlobes. To do this, push
the strap guide up or down until you find the proper position. If you are satisfied with these
adjustments, put the helmet on and try to pull the helmet off your head from the back and
the front. A helmet that fits properly should be comfortable without sliding forwards or
backwards. If you are not able to adjust your chosen helmet accordingly, THEN DO NOT
USE THE HELMET - replace it with a different size helmet or a different model.
Note : Please always make sure your helmet (or your child's helmet) is properly adjust-
ed each time before starting your activity. If you have any questions, please contact your
SCOTT dealer.
G. ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONS
SCOTT helmets can be used with or without ear covers. Be aware that, without the ear cov-
ers, the helmet's protective capacity can only be achieved in part and that the exposed
parts of your ears may be injured during a fall or the like.
• VII. INSTRUCTIONS
A. CARE AND CLEANING
Clean your helmet with a soft cloth or sponge, warm water, and mild soap. Helmets are made
of material that can be damaged by many traditional cleaning agents. Solvents or cleaning
agents with a petroleum base are particularly dangerous. These can damage the helmet to
such an extent that its protective ability is significantly compromised. Damage is often not
noticeable. SCOTT Sports is not liable for any damages caused by improper cleaning.
Lining  : You can easily remove the inner lining by hand and wash it by hand using a mild
soap. Never machine-wash the lining pieces at high temperatures.
For cleaning, maintenance or disinfection, use only substances that have no adverse effect
on the helmet and are not known to be likely to have any adverse effect upon the wearer.
B. TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE
When transporting or storing keep your helmet in the soft bag if supplied in the retail box.
Let your helmet air dry after each use and then store it in a cool dry place. Excessive heat
can damage your helmet. In direct sunlight, dark equipment cases or trunks of automobiles
can become so hot as to cause heat damage. Heat damaged helmets are recognizable by
uneven or blistered surfaces. Exposure to sunlight may cause color fading. SCOTT Sports
SA shall not be liable for any damages and losses due to improper storage.
C. CHECKING OF WEAR AND TEAR
It is recommended to regularly inspect your gear. If doubtful, please ask an expert or
your friendly dealer. The protection it offers could be reduced due to mechanical wear or
improper use. Before use, please check the product for any damage to the straps, stitch-
ing and pads. Dispose of the product if you notice any damage.
D. DISPOSAL
Dispose of the products in the domestic waste. Do not tamper or incinerate the product.
This may lead to potential hazards.
