• VIII. WARNING
The intended and reasonably foreseeable use of this product is solely  : skiing and snow-
boarding. THIS HELMET IS NOT INTENDED TO BE USED FOR MOTOR SPORTS, ON
MOPEDS OR FOR OTHER USES.
SCOTT COULOIR MOUNTAIN | WHEL1702
Field of application is extended to mountaineering (EN 12492 : 2012).
Please always be careful and act with caution when skiing and snowboarding. Observe the safe-
ty regulations, the International Ski Federation rules (FIS) and do your part in avoiding accidents.
1- Always make sure your helmet fits properly.
2- Always fasten the buckle and tighten the strap.
3- First check that your helmet is properly adjusted every time you wear it.
4- Regularly examine your helmet for signs of wear or visible damage.
5- Avoid wearing other people's helmets, due to size differences and unknown usage.
6- Never wear anything hard or sharp under your helmet.
7- NEVER TAKE ANY UNNECESSARY RISKS JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE WEARING A HELMET.
8- Only use original spare parts recommended by the manufacturer. Never attach anything
to your helmet if the manufacturer does not issue a declaration of no objection for that
item. Your SCOTT specialist dealer will gladly help you.
As a rule, helmet-compatible ski goggles or other items, such as headlamps, can be
attached to the helmet with an elastic band only.
9- Never wear a helmet that has already cushioned a severe impact.
It should be destroyed and replaced, even if it seems undamaged. This helmet was
designed to absorb the impact through partial destruction of the energy-absorbing
foam insert. This damage may not always be directly visible.
10- No helmet can protect the user from all injuries in all accidents, in particular in collisions
with motor vehicles. Depending on the strength of impact, even an accident at very low
speeds can cause significant injuries or death.
11- Warning  ! This helmet should not be used by children while climbing or doing other activi-
ties when there is a risk of strangulation/hanging if the child gets trapped with the helmet.
12- This product is not a toy. It is sports equipment and is designed and intended for sports.
13- Keep this information brochure in a safe place for product-specific questions. SCOTT
Sports SA shall not accept complaints or replace helmets that have been used improperly.
