D. MISUSES
We recommend that the SCOTT product should not be left outside, exposed to high tem-
peratures or direct sunlight before use. Any product modifications may cause loss of pro-
tection and are therefore considered as improper use. Never tamper with any part of the
helmets. Helmets should not be adapted for the purpose of fitting accessories in a way not
recommended by the manufacturer.

A. MARKING ON THE PRODUCTS
All certified helmets are labeled with corresponding seals indicating they have passed
the official tests. They are affixed in plain sight and may not be removed.

• V. TIME OF OBSOLESCENCE
Personal protective equipment has limited lifespan. For optimum safety, SCOTT recom-
mends replacing your product three (3) years after the purchasing date.
The product may lose its protective properties after heavy impacts or impacts that result
in damages to the product. In such cases, the product must be replaced. SCOTT shall not
be liable for damages relating to the use of products which should have been replaced.
• VI. INSTRUCTIONS FOR SIZING, FIT
Please bear in mind that a trial of the product before purchase is the best way to find the
correct size, which should be chosen from the manufacturer's size chart. SCOTT Sports SA
shall not accept any complaints arising from the use of an incorrectly fitted product.
