3. Set the parking brake.
4. Connect the hydraulic hoses to the traction unit. (621ER and 721XR only)
5. Get on the unit and switch the unit to the on position.
6. Cycle the unit 5 or 6 times.
7. Turn the traction unit to the off position and set the parking brake.
8. Check the hoses for leaks.
Important: PLEASE PAY SPECIAL ATTENTION TO THE AREA AROUND THE FITTING.
9. In the event that a defective hydraulic hose is located, please order replacement parts from Lastec.
10. Contact the Lastec Customer Service Department for any warranty claims.
The hydraulic hoses used on this unit are subject to intense conditions such as:
Fluctuating pressure while being used
Extensive exposure to weather, sun and chemicals
Very warm storage conditions or
Mishandling during operation or maintenance.
These conditions can cause damage or premature deterioration. Hoses that move during operation are more susceptible to
these conditions than others.
Hydraulic hoses need frequent and routine inspections to ensure that they remain free of deterioration and or damage. It is
important to ensure that all hoses are properly routed and protected from possible damage. It is a good practice to replace
all moving hydraulic hoses, every 2000 hours or 2 years, whichever comes first.
When replacing a hydraulic hose, ensure that the hose is straight (not twisted) before securing the fittings. Note how the
printing on the hoses are positioned. Using two wrenches; tighten the fitting while the other wrench holds the hose in
position.
