Sun Microsystems Customer Service or an authorized distributor will assist with the site-planning process and will install the equipment upon notification of delivery from the customer.

    10000 system: When installing peripherals into the Sun Enterprise 10000 cabinet: RSM trays are the only peripherals used in the Sun Enterprise 10000 cabinet. Only three RSM trays can be used in the Sun Enterprise 10000 cabinet. When configuring memory on a system board: All sockets within a bank must be fully populated.

    Components exterior to the Sun Enterprise 10000 cabinet require separate AC power connections; refer to their respective installation manuals for additional information. The Sun Enterprise 10000 cabinet requires four to five AC power connections. This is determined by the number of AC input modules and AC sequencers installed in the cabinet.

    Preparing to Move the Cabinet 1. Obtain a shipping kit. Because shipping foam compresses in transit, Sun Enterprise 10000 cabinets cannot be shipped with previously used shipping pallets. Obtaining a new shipping kit will not only provide a new pallet, but also all brackets, labels, shipping documents, and attachment hardware.
