Engineering Operations

(1) Engineering of DPCS
Figure 2.3 indicates the specific engineering operations to connect DPCS.

Use the DPCS Builder to build the control card functions for DPCS and create files to be
downloaded to the control cards. These files are temporarily written to a floppy disk. If you upload
the information of the control cards currently operating, refer to "Cautions on Renewal of
TOSDIC".

Use the PCS Engineering Tool to register the DPCS Station Type and the control card configuration
within DPCS, as well as the DPCS tag name, I/O points, and parameters. If the DPCS-to-DPCS
transmission is used, send/receive data are registered.
I/O point in DPCS tag parameter indicates I/O point of DPCS control card. One I/O points is
assigned in only one DPCS tag parameter. If One I/O points is assigned in some DPCS tag
parameters, these DPCS tag are not displayed correctly.

DPCS I/O point is assigned to Serial I/O point. From DPCS control card configuration, engineering
tool assign Serial I/O point automatically. (Edit Menu -> MC Bus SI/O Mapping in engineering
tool) These assignment can be changed in MC Bus SI/O Mapping Screen. In MC Bus SI/O
Mapping Screen, DPCS I/O point is assigned to Serial I/O point (Bus No., Unit No., Module No.,
Point No.). Types of I/O are Analog Input, Analog Output (Current/Pulse/Voltage), MV Readback,
Valve Position, Digital Input, Digital Output. Each type of I/O are assigned to Serial I/O points.

Use the PCS tool to read the floppy disk (downloaded files) created by the DPCS Builder, and
download the files to the control cards of DPCS.

Use the OIS/SVR Engineering Tool to register the Station Type of DPCS.

You need to create all engineering for OIS and SVR. You cannot use the information created by POC. If
there exist any BASIC programs, you also need to create them.
