Introduction The information in this instruction manual covers the installation and maintenance of the V894MSH Maximum Security Housing. This unit should only be installed by a qualified technician using approved materials in accordance with national, state and local codes. Read these instructions through completely before attempting installation.
Installation Unpacking and Inspection All Vicon equipment is tested and inspected before leaving the factory. It is the carrier’s responsibility to deliver the equipment in the same condition as it left the factory. Inspection For Visible Damage Immediately inspect the cartons upon delivery. Make a note of any visible damage on all copies of the carrier’s freight bill.

Video, sync, and power cables must be routed to the housing location. Refer to Figure 1 when installing the V894MSH housing. The housing may be mounted directly to a solid ceiling or a wall or may be corner mounted using the V894CMB Corner Mounting Bracket.
The 24 VAC input power to the camera must correspond to the TV scanning system of the camera; EIA or EIA- NTSC cameras require 60 Hz, CCIR or CCIR-PAL cameras require 50 Hz. The housing requires no maintenance other than the occasional cleaning of the Lexan window, using plain soap and water. Do not use abrasive cleaners which scratch the window surface.
