8.4 Checks before starting the pump set

Carry out the checks and operations described below after one of the following events:
• The first installation
• A general overhaul
• Extraordinary maintenance
• A period of inactivity.

8.4.1 System and installation room

Check:
• The status of the system and the room
• That there are no objects near the air duct openings
• That the exhaust gas evacuation system is correctly connected to the motor
• The status of the drain pump and the floor water detector with alarm if present
• The status of the devices used for ensuring the minimum and maximum room temperature.

8.4.2 Pump set and hydraulic components

Check:
• The grounding of the pump set and the control panel
• The presence and status of the anti-vibration dampers
• The anchoring to the floor
• The status of the piping system connections
• The presence and correct assembly of the anti-vibration joints
• That the tie rods of the discharge anti-vibration joint are disassembled
• The correct assembly and precharge of the diaphragm tanks, if required
• The calibration of the 2 start pressure switches
• The tightening of all bolts
• That there are no leaks.
