Connecting to an External Monitor
• You can set
button to control also the recording operation of an external recorder compatible with recording commands
connected to the SDI OUT terminal.
• When the frame rate is 23.98P and one of the following is also true, the frames value in the time code will run

from 0 to 29 instead of 0 to 23.

Using the HDMI OUT Terminal
The digital signal that is output from the HDMI OUT terminal includes the video signal and audio signal. You can
output also the time code signal and the camcoder's onscreen displays (A 127).
The audio output signal will be 2-channel linear PCM audio (16-bit, 48 kHz sampling). When recording or playing
back clips recorded with 4-channel audio, you can select which audio channels to output (A 116).

NOTES
• z The camcorder cannot output signals to the SDI OUT terminal and HDMI OUT terminals
simultaneously.
• The HDMI OUT terminal on the camcorder is for output only. Do not connect it to an HDMI output terminal on
an external device, as this may damage the camcorder.
• Correct operation cannot be guaranteed when connecting the camcorder to DVI monitors.
• Video may not be output correctly depending on the monitor. z In such case, try using the SDI OUT
terminal.
• If the connected monitor is not compatible with the signal output from the camcorder, HDMI output will stop.
• You can set both
use the camcorder's REC button to control also the recording operation of an external recorder compatible
with HDMI recording commands connected to the HDMI OUT terminal. The camcorder's time code signal will
be output as well.
• The time code signal will not be output from the HDMI OUT terminal in the following cases:
- In
mode.
- When the video output signal is 720x480 / 59.94P.
- When slow & fast motion recording is activated.
• When the frame rate is 23.98P and one of the following is also true, the frames value in the time code will run
from 0 to 29 instead of 0 to 23.
