Using the Handle Zoom Rocker

To use the handle zoom rocker, attach the handle unit to the
camcorder in advance (A 20).
Move the handle zoom rocker toward T (wide angle) to
zoom out. Move it toward S (telephoto) to zoom in.
• You can set the constant zoom speed with the following
procedure.
Setting the Zoom Speed of the Handle Zoom Rocker
Handle zoom rocker: Approximate zoom speeds (time required to zoom end-to-end)
[Handle Zoom Speed] setting
1 (slowest)
16 (fastest)
* When the zoom speed is too fast, the camcorder may have more trouble focusing automatically while zooming.
1 Select the overall zoom speed level (step 1, A 54).
2 Select [Handle Zoom Speed].
> [v ! Camera Setup] > [Handle Zoom Speed]
3 Select [Ï] or [Ð], or drag your finger along the adjustment bar, to set the desired constant speed.
4 Select [X].

Using an Optional Remote Controller

The zoom speeds when using the RC-V100 Remote Controller or a commercially available remote control
connected to the REMOTE terminal are different.

Variable speed: At default settings, turn the RC-V100's ZOOM dial right to zoom in (S) and left to zoom out
(T). The greater the angle at which the dial is rotated from the center, the faster the zoom.
Refer to the remote control's instruction manual.
If the remote control does not support variable zoom: Constant zoom speed.
If the remote control supports variable zoom: Variable zoom speed according to the remote control's settings.
