Aux Heat as Primary Heat Source
» The heat pump lockout is adjustable from -20°F to 65°F in 5°F
increments. (default 15°F)
» The set-point differential can be set to -9°F, -7°F, -4°F, and -2°F
(default -2°F)
» Aux heat demand is controlled around the heat setpoint by
T on and T off with the following ranges:
– T on differential: -1°F to -2°F (default -1°F)
– T off differential: 1°F fixed
» With the aux Heater added to an AC outdoor unit, aux as the primary
heat source is the only option.
» In this case, Ton/Toff is also the only control option since there is no
HP to control.
