8. When the CALIBRATE field is blinking, press the ENT key to begin the procedure. The
PFD display instructs the operator to gradually increase power from idle to full throttle
and back to idle over a period of 1‐2 minutes.
9. When the operator has completed the engine run‐up and the engine is back to an idle
setting, press the ENT key. The TEST COMPLETE field stops blinking and the process is
complete.
10. The PFD informs the operator if the installation has passed or failed the vibration test. If
the test fails, the specific measurements causing the failure are identified and
associated numeric values are displayed on the PFD.
11. The following are potential causes for failure of the engine run‐up test. Correct the
condition and retest to confirm resolution.
Vibration motion of GRS77 and/or GMU44 caused by neighboring equipment and/or
•
supports.
The mounting screws and other hardware for GRS77 and/or GMU44 are not firmly
•
attached.
The GRS77 connector is not firmly attached to the unit.
•
Cabling leading to GRS77 or GMU44 is not firmly secured to the supporting
•
structure.
An engine/propeller may be significantly out of balance.
