The STANDARD USER INTERFACE is the display portion of the Universal System
Controller wafer characterization software, which runs all ADE wafer
characterization systems. This process actually interfaces with the terminal,
receiving input from the keyboard and passing it to the Universal System Controller
software through a communications channel. The bootable portion of the Universal
System Controller is contained on PROMs located on the rtVAX 300 board inside
the chassis of the computer. When keyboard input is received, it is processed by
the Universal System Controller, which executes under the VAXeln realtime
operating system, and is output back to the STANDARD USER INTERFACE.
