THE SYSTEM SHUTDOWN application lets you shutdown the UNIX operating system
from within the desktop. You must shut down the sytem before you power off the
computer in order to preserve the UNIX filesystem. Double-click the SYSTEM
SHUTDOWN icon with the trackball pointer, then click the OK button in the SYSTEM
SHUTDOWN window once. A second window will then appear asking you to confirm
the shutdown. Confirm the shutdown. The screen will blank as the operating system
shuts down.
Having this application available in the desktop prevents you from having to type the
shutdown -y -g0 0 0 0 0 shutdown -y -g shutdown -y -g
shutdown -y -g shutdown -y -g
