In the case of conflicting settings, profiles are applied in the following order of priority (from
highest priority to lowest):
1. Any custom profiles you create.
2. "Source Devices" profiles.
3. "Displays" profiles.
4. Profiles based on properties of the incoming video signal.
Note that temporary changes made to the Active Settings have the highest priority, even
overriding custom profile settings. See Section 3.4 for more information on temporary settings.

4.0 More Ways to Create and Manage Profiles

In the previous section we assigned settings to a profile using temporary settings and the "Save
To Profile" shortcut. This is handy for making quick adjustments based on temporary settings.
When doing more extensive setup, however, you may find it more convenient to first manually
add menu pages to profiles, and then configure their settings, without using temporary settings.
In this section we walk through a few more examples of creating and managing profiles, except
this time we set up the profiles manually.
Tip: If you are an installer/integrator that frequently configures Envys, you can set up one Envy
as desired with all your custom profiles, and then download the configuration using the Envy IP
Control Tool. Then for all future Envys, you can simply upload your configuration to each Envy
rather than setting it up from scratch.

4.1 Deleting a Menu Page from a Profile

Before getting started with our next example, we need to delete the previous "Incoming
Resolution 1080p (or Lower)" profile that we created in Section 3.5.2. This is also a good
opportunity to demonstrate how to delete profiles.
Let's start by going to the Upscaling & Sharpening menu page. Scroll within the Profile Bar until
you reach the "Incoming Resolution 1080p (or Lower)" selection. [If this selection does not
appear in your Profile Bar, it means you did not create this profile as part of our earlier exercises.]
Notice now in the Context Sensitive Help window indicates that the Red button is assigned to
"Remove Profile". Press the Red button and confirm "Yes" when prompted.

4.2 Adding a Default Menu Page to a Profile

We now demonstrate how to add a default menu page to a profile. In this example we will create
two profiles for controlling Upscaling & Sharpening settings – one for 4K resolution, and the other
for 1080p and lower resolution.
