WARNING – When using electric products, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS- This manual contains important instructions for model NL38-10C823-AA that shall be followed
during installation, operation and maintenance
a) Wiring information

b) To reduce the risk of electrical shock, and to ensure the safe installation and operation of this equipment, the following
safety symbols appear throughout this document to indicate dangerous conditions and important safety instructions

The maximum rated ambient temperature of this device is 113°F (45°C)
d) Use 3 AWG, 90°C copper wire only for AC connections (A/L1 and B/L2[N])
e) Use 16 AWG, 600v copper wire for 2 position connector (Dark Start).

CAUTION to reduce risk of fire, connect only to a circuit with 100 amperes maximum branch circuit overcurrent protection
in accordance with the National Electric Code, ANSI/NFPA 70.
g) GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS- This unit is to be connected to a grounded, metal, permanent wiring system; or an
equipment-grounding conductor is to be run with circuit conductors and connected to an equipment-grounding terminal.
h) This equipment should be installed at least 18 inches above floor or ground level.

To maintain Type 4 enclosure rating, use Listed conduit fitting rated Type 4 or 4X.
j)
This device should be supervised when used around children.
k) Do not put fingers into the electric vehicle connector.

Do not use this product if the flexible power cord or EV cable is frayed, has broken
m) Do not use this product if the enclosure or the EV connector is broken, cracked, open, or shows any other indication of
damage
