The C-mount lens adapter on color models of the camera is normally equipped with an internal IR-
cut filter. As shown in Figure 7, the length of the threads on any lens you use with a color camera
can be a maximum of 9.6 mm and the lens can intrude into the camera body a maximum of 10.8
mm. If either of these limits is exceeded, the lens adapter or the IR-cut filter will be damaged or
destroyed and the camera will no longer operate.
