    URP Technical and Maintenance Manual PRELIMINARY INSTRUCTIONS AND WARRANTY INFORMATION WARNING: This equipment is a "CLASS A" equipment. In a residential place this equipment can cause hash. In this case can be requested to user to take the necessary measures.

The warranty for a period of 12 months is referred to any R.V.R. product, while for products as Transistors, Mos-Fet and Tubes of the final stages is applied the manufacture's warranty off these devices.

    1.2 ELECTRICAL DESCRIPTION The URP is capable of either 10 watts or 2 watts with the power output being controlled by a switch on the front panel. The URP/2 model is capable of 2 watts only.

  • Page 14 The power amplifier board receives the RF signal from the VCO board at a level of 1.5 to 2 watts. In the URP this signal is amplified by Q1 to ten watt level with the high/low switch (4 Fig.1) on the front panel shorting out the collector/ emitter junction of Q2.

    CAUTION : Observe the polarity of DC volatge. Plus goes ti the red terminal and minus goes to he black terminal. The URP units contain a reverse current diode to protect the unit against power reversal. The purpose of this diode is to blow the fuse in the event of DC input reversal.
