When the Code Identification (Code ID) option is selected, your decod-
er adds a code identification byte to the decoded data. These bytes are
described in Table 2-2 on page 2-9.
Enabling AIM Code ID causes the scanner to send the AIM code iden-
tifier in lieu of the Code Identifiers. The identifier is sent as a three
character preamble, in accordance with AIM specifications for symbol-
ogy identifiers. UPC-E is always converted into UPC-A when the AIM
specification ID option is enabled. See AIM
