RS-232—Output to host system

RTS/CTS hardware protocol

Activation
The MicroBar NX acts as a standard terminal and manages the RTS/CTS lines when
configured.
RTS is activated (high) before data is transmitted and deactivated (low) when message
transmission is completed after the specified timeout (
protocols timeout ).
CTS is tested before transmission of each character. Data is only transmitted when CTS is
activated (high). If CTS is not used by the host system, the MicroBar NX keeps the level
high.
When RTS/CTS is active, the MicroBar NX beeps after transmission when there is a good
read. You must change this parameter if you want Beep Before Transmission (
Indicator LED - Timing of good read beeps ).
If there is no response before the end of the specified timeout, the MicroBar NX emits 6
error beeps.
RTS/CTS is exclusive with the ENQ/ACK/NAK and XON/XOFF transmission protocols.
