side of the belt bed.
2. Using the hex key provided, fasten the work
support in place with washers and hex bolts.
Mounting belt/disc sander to
workbench (Fig. 11 & 12)
If the belt/disc sander is to be used in a perma-
nent location, it should be fastened securely to
a firm supporting surface such as a workbench
(Fig. 11).
If mounting to a workbench, the holes should
be drilled through supporting surface of the
workbench.
1. The unit should be bolted securely using
M8 bolts, lock washers, and hex nuts (not
included).
2. Locate and mark the holes on the workbench
where belt/disc sander is to be mounted.
3. Drill three 9mm holes though workbench.
4. Place belt/disc sander on workbench and
align the holes in the base with the holes
drilled in the workbench.
5. Insert three bolts and securely tighten them
with lock washers, and nuts.
If the belt/disc sander is relocated frequently,
it should be securely fastened to a mounting
board which can be easily clamped to a firm
supporting surface with work clamps (not in-
cluded) such as a workbench (Fig. 12).
The mounting board should be of sufficient size
to avoid tipping while the tool is in use. Any
good grade plywood or chipboard with a 3/4"
(19 mm) thickness is recommended.
1. Mark and drill three 9 mm diameter holes
through the mounting board.
2. Secure the sander to the mounting board using M8 flat head screws, lock washers and
hex nuts (not included). The screw length must be at least 1-1/2" (38 mm) more than the
thickness of the mounting board.
